Race.se has had strong growth since the launch in 2017 and in the past year the platform has expanded to over 30 countries around the world. The strong growth and internationalization has been a result of a conscious strategy where the company has focused on expanding vertically in various sports.
Our strong expansion is the result of a strong offer and fantastic work by our incredibly dedicated employees. We are a team that really works towards a common goal where everyone knows that you make a difference every day, says Johan Jakobsson, CEO of RaceID.
Race.se has quickly become Sweden’s leading platform for endurance races and has also become a world leader in sports, such as swimrun and extreme triathlon. Now the company has choosen to clarify its focus on the race participant and global aspiration by changing name from Race.se to RaceID. The name change is something that embraces the company’s view of always seeing the participant’s needs first.
We created our platform based on our own experience from being race participants. In recent years, we have focused on creating a really good platform for organizers where they can administer their events from A to Z. Now we feel that the time is right to take the next step towards being the world’s best service for race participants, says Erik Sjöbeck, CMO at RaceID.
RaceID’s strategy is to become the world’s leading community for race participants and the name should clarify this ambition. With a RaceID, the participants gets a pass to the endurance races of the world and are able to be inspired to new challenges together with their friends. The strategy to focus more on the race participant aims to also benefit the races that currently use the service for registration and administration as it will focus on improving the customer experience.
In addition to making the service even more intuitive for the end user, the goal is to launch groundbreaking services aimed at the race participant within the coming year.
